Flushed with success

Thank you New Scientist and thank you to Fred Pearce for his article 'Flushed with success' (see http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg21729042.200-flushed-with-success-human-manures-fertile-future.html?cmpid=RSS|NSNS|2012-GLOBAL|energy-fuels, although you need to sign in to read it full). It really surprise me that despite the evidence and logic of it, no one in our city of London seems to be taking any notice about the issue, and instead we are led to believe that the solution to the pollution of the river Thames with our raw sewage is to create a bigger sewer (the super-sewer Thames tideway tunnel). Instead, they should focus their effort (and our money) into recycling our waste, a far more sustainable solution than that of the super sewer. I only wish the London Mayor reads the article and do something about it before is too late and Thames Water gets away with its project (and our money).
